The before version of the house wasn’t that terrible either, but what Murdock Young Architects did to the property is simply amazing. Tidier and with more, larger windows, this renovated house in East Hampton, New York is closer to nature than most New Yorkers will ever get.

In this “basement” the architect incorporated a glass wall that floods the interior with natural light. Now, for the third dimension of living space – to do it outdoors! The Rear Sheltered Courtyard, framed by two rooms of the building, water tanks and large wooden screens are concentrated in a wood oven pizza.
